Sister Pearson a Green Beret

Where to even begin.. WHAT A WEEK!!! So first things first.

We taught Lidia, our investigator, she is really progressing! We have taught her the restoration and what makes our church different and she loves the Book of Mormon and I know she knows its true so we will keep teaching and praying, I know she'll be baptized!!

This week was a tiny bit of a gong show..First of all Tuesday was devotional!! Since it was the special devotional we asked our teacher to let us go early so we would make it in there! We left and got to choir a half hour early and.. all the seats were full. I was so sad. Then we decided to wait in line for the devotional so we would at least get to be in the room. We waited.. for TWO HOURS! and then they announced that they were going to be filming us walking in and not to look at the cameras and were like woah! Cameras! What’s going on! So we go in there like a stampede trying to get seats all the while looking graceful and we did it!! We got seats ON THE FLOOR!! So we were just beaming so excited then all of a sudden on the screen was the name of one of the Seventy I was so confused.. the choir director specifically said it was a VERY SPECIAL DAY and that the prophet wasn’t coming but it was reeeeaaallly special! Guess what.. they were not lying. it was one of the Seventy who spoke and it was a really great talk but we were so disappointed! Guess what the special thing was.. THEY FILMED THE CHOIR TO SING IN BETWEEN GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!! CURSES!!!! we didn’t even make it into the choir!!!! I was a little upset I’m not going to lie. After all that effort but it was still awesome of course AND this Sunday is Easter, they have told us one of the Twelve Apostles is coming. My companion and I get to be USHERS so we are guaranteed a spot! Hopefully it will work out not like last time.

I had a little bit of bronchitius goin on in my lungs so the doctor gave me medicine and a humidifier and its WORKING!!! I am almost 100 percent better!  It was really cool on Tuesday, all the Elders in my district gave me a blessing! well they all participated in it and it made me feel so good and so comforted and helped a whole lot! I am so glad they are all worthy preisthood holders and for the amazing blessing  :) it was great.

Polish has been about the same, I'm learning!!!  I still wish I knew more! The other half of my zone left today for Poland and this Wednesday the new ones are coming! so WE will be the old ones!! Time is seriously flying!!  Its super cool. I have been asked to be the "online trainer" for the new districts.. its a pretty big deal. Its the Branch Presidency, Me, then the zone leaders and everyone else so im pretty honoured  I literally just show them how to use the computers.. but im so excited!!! any chance to serve is great. I cant wait to get to know them all! It will be cool.

We had TRC again on thursday which was awesome! I really want to do this when I come home they are all just proof that I WILL LEARN POLISH! I had lots of fun. Yesterday we watched the music and the spoken word. The Mormon Tabernacle sang the primary song my Heavenly Father loves me and that was Caitlynn's favorite song!!!! it made me think of her and when we were in primary it was so cute!

My German teacher told us that Two Apostles have said that the missionaries who get called to Poland are the "Green Berets of Missionaries" which I didn't know what that meant but it is the highest, coolest special forces in the US Army! I was so excited to hear that and I feel special, learning the Polish language is hard. It was encouraging to hear!!

We discovered we can go onto mormon.org and we watched the Brandon Flowers video called I'm a mormon video, (the lead singer of the killers) I almost cried!!! not only because the video was so amazing but THERE WAS REAL MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND!!! So we just listen to it on repeat and then put the motab on I just love music so much!!

Oh also everyone knows your name Mom cause its Echo and I was telling a funny story the other day to my district and Elder Allen was laughing and then he said, Oh Echo, and I almost died I was laughing so hard! We are best friends with the Bulgarians now. Life is just grand! I love hearing from all of you so please dear elder me! and thanks to everyone whose written I promise to write back! I love you all so much! HUGS to all my Family and Friends!

Peace and Blessings

Sister Pearson's Eyes are Smilin

Monday March 18th

I got your package! Thank you! Getting mail and packages is the best thing in the world here! The workout clothes are great and Travis brought me my shoes!!!! I love them so much!
I am sick... like a cold but I have no voice and my throat kills and I cough all the time kind of sucks but that’s okay! I’m sure ill get better soon I bought some more medicine from the store and I hope that helps me!

SO! This was a fantastic week! It flew by so fast its unreal how time goes here.

On Tuesday we taught our new investigator Lidia (who is our teacher Sister Macadam’s) and it went so well!! Our first lesson we were getting stressed out preparing for but we went in there and the spirit was great and strong and I loved it! Then we had our devotional, not the special one that’s tomorrow!!!!, but it was really good all the devotionals here are amazing and its like they are tailored right to me! Its so fub!
On Wednesday we did some service which I love! We get to go to a chapel and clean! Although we have to wake up 40 minutes earlier than usual to go do it, it is so worth it because we are blessed and happy to be serving! Its so fun half of my zone goes and just cleans the church. Other than that it was a pretty normal day with classes and learning the language.

This week most of our classes were actually in English and they expressed to us how we shouldn’t be worried about the language, when its language class you study the language when its not worry about the spiritual side of things.

So on Thursday we taught Lidia again and this time we prepared a lot and then went in with our note cards and I only looked at them once!!!! Even though the grammar was waaaaaay off! We taught her the Plan of Salvation. I would say it in polish, which translates to God wants you happy. Family can eternity and stuff like that but the spirit was so strong!! Words I learned weeks ago would just come to my remembrance and the gift of tongues is the coolest thing I have ever experienced!! We have asked her to be baptized twice but both times declined so far but its so cool how much I want her to say yes. I’m not afraid to ask her because being a representative of Jesus I need to do what He would do and that’s what He would do! She’s great and I know she will say yes to being baptized one day :) even though she’s my teacher when I teach her she’s Lidia from Poland and even when I pray for her its like she’s real and I love her!

Also on Thursday we had our first TRC, Its when return missionaries who served their mission in Poland come to the MTC and we teach them in Polish it was so fun! They were so nice to us. I can’t wait to learn more!

The rest of the week was excellent. Just classes and normal fun here. The weather has been beautiful!!!! I am so blessed here! I absolutely love it here way more then I thought I would! On Wednesday I will have been here for 3 weeks!!!! The time is flying by! I just love serving the Lord and I know that I am doing exactly what I am suppose to be doing. It makes me so happy!!! This week’s devotional is someone super important!!! So I’m on the choir hoping my cold goes away before then so I can actually sing... I am very excited about it!!!
I miss all of you every day! It makes it easier knowing why I am here and loving what I’m here to do! I pray for you multiple times a day and I know the Lord is looking out for you! If anyone dear elders me I will write them back I promise! It takes a while to get there but I write every p day! Thank you for all the dear elders from everyone its one of the best parts of my day. I feel so loved!
I love you all! The work must go on! Till next week!

Stay fresh,

Love your missionary,
